The objective of the subsystem for investment management is to increase efficiency of project management in the area of capital construction and investment of the Company.
The investment management system includes the following: Investment Management Service, Long-Term Development Department, New Businesses Department, and R and D Office. Their main goals are:
 creation of environment for investment growth in the priority activities of the Company;
development of investment programs of the Company, subsidiaries, and daughter companies;
financial and economic evaluation of investment projects;
participation in setting priorities for Novosibirskenergo development;
analysis of realization of strategic objectives after execution of investment programs;
planning of long-term development of electric and heating economy of the city, oblast, and generating sources.
Large projects in the 2003 investment program of Novosibirskenergo are:
new water desalting facility is put in operation at TPP-2, which extends the life time of pipes and provides more reliable and economical delivery of power;
new turbine at Barabinsk HPP is put in operation.
